Erica Ellis
Professional Book Editor
Editing so thorough, it's ink deep.
ABOUT ME
Hello! I am Erica Ellis, an independent book editor with experience in fiction, nonfiction, memoir, and children's books. I hold a copy editing certificate from the University of California San Diego, and I have developmental editing training from the Editorial Freelancers Association, the Author-Editor Clinic, and Club Ed. Before becoming an editor, I held a variety of positions, but no matter where I worked, I always gravitated towards writing and editing. If there was a way to work writing and editing into my position, I found it! Why? Because I love words! I love reading them, I love writing them, and I love polishing them until they shine. I also love authors, the people who bring us the stories that we get lost in, learn from, and escape to. Working with authors to help them prepare their books for publication is the best job I can imagine. I will approach your project with a sense of excitement, as well as a keen eye for detail.
“Thank you so much for being a part of the Archangel Ink team. I can’t adequately convey how grateful I am to have someone of your skill, diligence, and character as our chief editor. I feel confident every time we have clients’ work go to you.” ~Rob Archangel, cofounder of Archangel Ink
